Our mission
We are a non-profit group of dental professionals dedicated to improving the nutritional habits and oral health of children.

What We Do
Our organization was founded in 2020. In 2021, we started going into preschools to teach daily nutrition and oral health care routines. We are currently available to work with schools, churches, youth groups and other community groups in Long Beach and the surrounding areas.

Michael Smolen DDS (dentist)
Founder and creator of Big Dog Smiles
Dr. Smolen has been practicing family dentistry in Downtown Long Beach since 1990.
Leslie Correa RDH (dental hygenist)
Director of dental hygiene program
Leslie and Dr. Smolen have been working together for over 15 years.
